Softripe“ - A new chapter in fruit ripening technology The new “Softripe” technology is characterised by a considerably improved and fully automated ripening procedure. Unlike standard ripening, it measures the physiological condition of the fruits and the ripening process is optimally calibrated accordingly. The major benefit of the patent-pending innovation is the fact that healthy and optimum fruit ripening is possible within a shorter period (3-4 days); simultaneously the taste and aroma are also enhanced. The shelf life of the produce is extended as the natural energy content of the fruits (bananas, avocados.) is preserved. Furthermore, the controlled and even ripening procedure achieves a consistent and more reliable ripeness quality. The shortened ripening period also increases the ripening chamber throughput and reduces the total energy required per ripening cycle.
