Sogem Omvs

The Société de Gestion de l'Energie de Manantali (SOGEM) is a structure of the OMVS created on January 7, 1997 to help the latter achieve the ambitious objectives of exploiting the potential of economic and social development and regional integration that the Senegal River contains. Established as an inter-state company under public law operating as a public limited company with a capital of 19 billion 800 million CFA francs, Owned equally by the OMVS member states, it enjoys financial and management autonomy. SOGEM, whose head office is located in Bamako under an establishment agreement signed with the Malian Government, has the specific mission of managing the energy assets and related and ancillary installations of the Manantali and Félou hydroelectric power plants and the entire interconnected network, as well as the Gouina developments, which has just been inaugurated.
