We are walking specialists for the Mani peninsula, an undeveloped region of Europe where until 70 years ago travel was only possible by boat or donkey trails (kalderimi). The peninsula is divided and dominated by the mighty Taygetus mountains that plunge down to sea-level. It is a geographically protected area with rare species of plants, birds and animals. Its unique landscape offers you mountains and gorges, coastal walks and enchanting traditional villages. Its seclusion and history has led to a distinct culture of family clans; their tower-clustered villages are marked by Byzantine and Frankish history. Of course, the whole region is a birthplace of ancient Greek myth.
