Solar Schools

Solar Schools is taking action. Our mission is to bring energy to life in the classroom through a comprehensive, curriculum-aligned educational platform for students and teachers. These cross-curriculum unit plans, lesson plans and STEM activities for engage and educate students about energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainability. All resources are Australian curriculum aligned and ready to download from our Teacher’s Toolkit. Subjects include; Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, English and HASS. Unit and Lesson plans are written for years 1 to 12 and are supported by additional content available in our Knowledge Bank. Students can engage with their school’s energy data in real time using the Planet Watch app. A gamified education tool that encourages students to monitor their school’s live energy usage and take practical steps to reduce energy consumption. Students can track and compare the progress of their school to others in the solar system. Why? Because we care. Our founders have experienced the effects of climate change first hand and decided the best way to take action is to educate future generations. Energy education for the future is the only way we can we hope to achieve lasting change.
