Sonaris Percussion

Our company has one goal: To put quality 5.0 Octave keyboards in the hands of those who need them most. Growing up in a Texas music school program, one thing was made abundantly clear: If you are a percussionist, the only place to practice your instrument was at school. Flutes, trumpets, tubas? Just go to the music store, rent one, and take it home to practice. Percussionists? There is no such option. Unless you have to drop, the full marimba repertoire is out of reach. This is not acceptable. What other common school instrument has such a barrier to even the most basic practice version of it? Even in college, we just accept that a spring or summer break means a forced separation from our instruments. If we want mallet percussion to be taken seriously, this needs changing. With just a belt sander, router, and chop saw in late 2019, I founded Sonaris Percussion striving to find a common sense solution to this high financial barrier of 5.0 octave instruments. I have never lost sight of that goal and feel grateful to my suppliers in Buffalo and Rochester who help me achieve it every day. – Greg
