After 25 years in the industry, working for her own companies and such giants as Gensler and Hirsch-Bedner, as well as boutique firms Hartman Design Group and Patrick Sutton Associates Associates, Tracy Sonka Stultz has re-established her own firm Sonka Stultz Design. Sonka Stultz Design believes design is an "art with a clearly defined purpose". That purpose involves the program requirements and constraints of any given space. The challenge of reconciling these requirements and constraints leads to opportunities and is the source of design inspiration. We begin each project with thorough research and collaborative visioning. Our design work translates the spirit of the property and the essence of its vision into an experience that engages all the senses. Each location inspires a unique opportunity for the introduction of something unexpected, and an opportunity to use beautiful materials to maximize major design moves while minimizing decoration.
