Sonoro

Sonoro, founded in 2013 by Daniel Campoverde, is a key player in promoting electronic and experimental music in Latin America. The organization evolved from hosting events to establishing its Digital Record Label in 2021, focusing on original electronic and experimental music. Collaborating with notable figures like Juan Diego Illescas and Santiago Jaramillo, Sonoro gained prominence in Ecuador and the United States. Venturing into academia in 2017, it contributed to 'Cuarto de Máquinas' and later managed the ESPOL Electronic Experimental Ensemble, fostering dialogues with international artists. Sonoro's involvement in the SMOV Festival showcased its dedication to sound arts, earning sponsorships and facilitating global collaborations. The organization continues to innovate, with plans for a sound arts online courses and ongoing releases in electronic music genres.
