Sophus Press

Sophus Press was first founded in 2019 by author and spiritual director Arnie Freiman. Arnie Freiman started Sophus Press after publishing his debut novel, titled BEFRIENDING YOUR STRANGER: AN ACTIVE JOURNEY TO INNER JOY. Inviting readers and writers to an inner healing and joy for life sparked an idea for Arnie. He decided to invite these same readers and writers to a press that promotes publications in genres that don’t coincide with today’s commercialized industry. Sophus Press supports personal journeys and authentic stories. We welcome writers in all types of fields, from financial planning to physical and spiritual well-being to relationships and more. Because we believe in something called whole-world thinking—the idea that even though our writers present their knowledge in varied fields, they are each held together as one integrative person. Obviously, this makes our press a bit unique (and we like it that way). We provide an intimate experience for readers and writers as well as personal growth opportunities through workshops, speaking engagements, and one-on-one guidance for whole person care.
