Sos Presents

SOS Presents was founded 1924 but it remains very young at heart! We've stayed relevant for more than 100 years by selecting shows that will engage the audiences of the day, keeping our production standards high and continuing to attract new talent with successive shows. In the past we performed a wide variety of stage shows from grand opera and Gilbert & Sullivan to compilation shows and musical plays. These days the membership prefers a more contemporary output of book musicals with full orchestral accompaniment. From the late 1980s until 2019 we put on two shows a year at the Nuffield Theatre (late the NST Campus). In January we moved to the lovely Mayflower Studios in the heart of Southampton's cultural quarters and now consider it our theatrical home. Acting membership is open to anyone who passes an audition, with non-acting membership available for anyone who would like to help with one of the many jobs behind the scenes. Musical theatre is a team event and we couldn't do what we do without the help of our wonderful supporters, on stage, back stage and in the audience.
