Sound Resolution is a consulting firm for companies frustrated by consulting and contracting relationships that lack accountability or brand investment. After decades of work in traditional new product development engineering, we recognized that there is a real need for a flexible, reliable, workforce to augment companies’ core teams. The new reality of product design is that teams are smaller and spread more thinly, more work is outsourced to ODM suppliers who may not respect your IP, and shifting priorities often cause valuable and important projects to be shelved in favor of a more pressing need. While some excellent consulting “idea guys” and very skilled contract engineering firms exist, they usually lack the specific experience needed or willingness to understand your business adequately. In the end, for them to execute your project, you will need to invest much time educating them about your brand, market and internal systems. Unfortunately, this defocuses your employees from their current projects which is counter to the reason projects were shelved originally. At Sound Resolution, we empathize with clients’ who receive “help” that is really more work than assistance: we’ve been on that side of the desk many times. By limiting our scope to audio products, we have a solid head-start on understanding your market, products and constraints. Given our experience in acoustics, electronics and system design, we’re already comfortable with the inevitable balance and tradeoffs of performance, cost, and time to market.
