Sound Unseen

In the fall of Sound Unseen introduced itself as a unique, cutting edge “films-on-music” festival in Minneapolis. It has since established itself as one of the premiere niche festivals in the country, but more importantly as a vital part of the regional cultural scene. Now in its 17th year, the festival has expanded to include year-round programming, exclusive pop-up parties, and special presentations including world and regional premiere screenings. Documentaries, rare concert footage, short films, animation, music videos, special performances, gallery exhibitions and dozens of live music events highlighting both local and national acts separate this festival from the usual outdoor mega concerts, film festivals and tours. What began as an underground film festival with only a handful of attendees, Sound Unseen is now a well respected and known brand that has a loyal following and continues to program exciting, unexpected, and a consistent array of music, film, new media and art.
