Soundchains is a blockchain music technology company based in Asia. Soundchains offers an alternative to the current music ecosystem that is artist-driven, decentralized and unmediated. We have developed a unique audio ID that can be embedded inside music and can link to metadata and licensing on blockchain, as well as advertising, e-commerce and social media. Soundchains differs from other music distributors on the blockchain because we are turning music into a true digital asset. Our technology is like a QR code for sound. It is an ID embedded inside audio that cannot be heard but can be received by smart devices. This ID can be received both online and offline. It can do this instantly, over long distance, through crowds of people, and with no noticeable disruption. Soundlinks technology can be used at a live event, over radio, film and television, in online streaming or within mp3, cd or vinyl. Using Soundlinks technology, multiple copies of an identical piece of music can be given different IDs. This has huge implications in the tracking and protection of music. The same song, distributed on different platforms, can be identified as different and therefore traced back to a specific platform. In addition, a unique copy of a song can be licensed to a specific proprietor. Licensing can even be done with smart contracts embedded inside a song. This allows for payment, song splits and authorization of music to occur immediately. Soundchains will have a huge impact on the music industry.
