Soundwalk

Founded in by Stephan Crasneanscki and Alex Kummerman, Soundwalk creates audio tours that use the cityscape as a backdrop for a fiction, like in a movie. For one hour, the listener can discover a neighborhood guided by the voice of a local celebrity. You can trace the roots of the hip hop movement back to the Bronx with the original Jazzy Jay. follow the voice of writer Paul Auster through the remnants of Ground Zero. learn all about New York’s Bryant Park with actor Matthew Broderick. or escort Virginie Ledoyen through a romantic flanerie at the steps of musician Benjamin Biolay in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The visitor downloads a Soundwalk on his iPhone or MP3 player, and takes a one-hour tour guided by the voice of an iconic figure from the city. Each character intimately unveils her neighborhood. Walking in the shoes of an insider, the listener can saunter through the back doors and secret courtyards, and listen to interviews with neighborhood residents. Actors, scenario, original soundtrack.
