South West Wheels

South West Wheels is a trial by The Disability Services Commission collaborating with the Western Australian Motor Industry Foundation for a different approach to transport for people with disability in the Lower South West of Western Australia. South West Wheels provides a pool of modified and standard vehicles operating out of four hubs in the Lower South West for people with disability to use flexibly to better support their access to the community. The project will run for 12 months, concluding 30 June 2016. South West Wheels has vehicles garaged at four ‘hubs’ located at Busselton, Margaret River, Manjimup and Donnybrook. Each hub houses one vehicle modified to transport two wheelchairs, one vehicle modified to transport one wheelchair and three non-modified vehicles.
