Mr Self trained at St Vincent’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He qualified FRACS in General Surgery and then qualified in Vascular Surgery, training at Royal Perth Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital. Post-fellowship experience followed in Canada and UK.
