Providing beekeeping training to small groups of people. In 2010 I took up the craft of beekeeping and since then have had as many as 15 colonies. Lots of people struggle to get started as hobby beekeepers because of the amount of information available to them so I have setup an Introduction to Beekeeping training course to help with the first steps. There are also practical sessions using my own colonies and we will be selling some nucs of bees during the 2017 season. Introduction to Beekeeping This course is designed for absolute beginners. Most beginners give up after a single season because they've found it too difficult or not had the right information. After this one day course you will be able to decide whether beekeeping is right for you before buying expensive equipment. Learn about the modern beehive, frames, the beekeepers toolbox, the bees, siting a colony, pests and diseases, getting your first bees and the beekeeping season.
