SOW AGRITECH LTD is an agribusiness startup with an overall objective of adding value to farming business, thus contributing to food self-sufficiency and quality in Sokoto state, North-West Nigeria and beyond. Our primary strategy relies on smooth and efficient transfer of agricultural technologies from research to farmers’ field, through partnership with advanced agricultural research organizations to (1) upscale “ready for use” technologies,(2) to test already development ones, and (3) capacity development of youth into Agri-partnership. The startup has initiated contact with the National Agricultural Seed Council (NASC) of Nigeria, to seek accreditation as a licensed seed entrepreneur. Our ambition is to/ • Play a vital role in the agri-food value chain encompassing diverse crops and businesses; • Drive agricultural innovation by bringing edge-cutting technologies into farmers hands; • Contributes to the national economy by fueling a strong market-based innovative agri-model Our activities / • Produce and market high-value (yield, pest resistance, high nutritional content, etc) varieties and seeds in a wide range of crops • Bring Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), including fertilizers/ pesticides, integrated pest management (IPM) • Deliver state-of-the-art agricultural machineries and infrastructure to our clients • Build our clients capacity in agribusiness and farm development • Develop agricultural proposals and mentor our clients’ projects implementation • Our medium term strategic plan is to drive a Research for development (R4D) program Our Products and services 1.
