SPAERA has a single aim – develop a net zero emission solution for the shipping industry. We believe net zero emission solutions are not just possible, but economically the most viable path, when considering the total impact of fossil-based alternatives. Using the abundantly available free energy in the marine environment, we can minimize the requirement for onboard energy, and utilize fuels that offer a closed loop emission chain. SPAERA will illustrate what is possible when rethinking the problem of global marine logistics from first principle physics, in the context of the climate emergency we find ourselves in.
