Spain Advisors

Spain Advisors is a Barcelona consultancy that assists non-Spaniards in locating and purchasing property in the Barcelona area. They manage each step of the process: property location, property inspection, legal due diligence, price and contract negotiation and deed preparation. The properties range from quaint flats in the Gothic Quarter, to spacious homes in Sitges, to rural houses in Catalonia. All the clients are non-Spaniards, some residing in Barcelona some abroad. They also give advice on mortgage financing, money transfers, banking and obtaining Spanish tax ID numbers (NIE). They collaborate with a Catalan architect and a Spanish tax attorney to offer a complete service. The owner, Mark Carr, is a native of Iowa with a license to practice law in California. He moved to Barcelona in 2001 and has worked in real estate for over five years. He bought an apartment near Sagrada Familia in 2010 where he resides with his spouse and two children. As a US-licensed attorney, Mr. Carr also represents Spanish residents with legal problems in the USA.
