Spaulding was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and moved to the Eastern Washington town of Walla Walla when she was a teenager. After completing her undergraduate degree at Walla Walla University, Melissa went on to pursue a degree in dentistry. She received her doctorate of dental surgery degree with honors from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2008 and has since found her home in the lovely community of Gig Harbor, Washington. Dr. Spaulding is an active member of the ADA and WSDA, as well as a member of the SPEAR dental study club and is committed to a lifetime of learning and growth through advanced education to better support and treat her patients. Dr. Spaulding prides herself in helping patients achieve their dental health goals by providing options that meet their individual needs and providing care at the highest level possible. Dr. Spaulding also believes in empowering patients to make informed decisions about their oral health and individual needs. Dentistry has been a rewarding career choice for Dr. Spaulding as it combines three of her life’s passions: Art, science, and education. In addition to her excitement about dentistry, she and her husband have a young daughter and are very excited to be a part of the Gig Harbor community. We offer gentle Microscope Enhanced Comprehensive and Preventative Dentistry, as well as full Aesthetic and Restorative dental services.
