Speakster - Unriddle Technologies

Unriddle Technologies (Speakster) is a startup with a mission to eliminate communication barriers for the deaf community. Our flagship project, Speakster, aims to create a more inclusive world where the deaf can express themselves and engage in society independently. We leverage mobile phone penetration, 5G networks, and government-supported Digital Public Infrastructure. Speakster includes two innovative products, Writell and Speakster gloves, designed to transcend language barriers and prioritize local language support through collaborations with government initiatives like Bhashini and AI4Bharat. Problem: The problem we are addressing is the profound communication barrier that the global deaf community faces. This community is vast, with over 466 million individuals worldwide, and within India alone, it encompasses approximately 18 million people. Deaf individuals often resort to sign language, interpreter or written communication, which can be challenging for the broader population to understand. This limitation restricts their interactions to a small community and makes it difficult for them to integrate into mainstream society. This not only limits their independence but also hinders their full integration into various aspects of daily life.
