Special Cuts

After obtaining a cosmetology license and working with the special needs population for several years, many parents have shared stories of the challenges that come with bringing a sensory challenged child into a mainstream salon or barbershop; where the noise and elements of the setting can be overwhelming. Through these conversations, I recognized the tremendous need for a specialized service designed for individuals who are sensitive to noise and/or touch. As I recognized this I was working at the hospital full time. I saw patients who were hospital bound for months at a time. Just wanting to feel like themselves again. This inspired me to combine both my cosmetology skills along with my passion for supporting people in need and develop a service that caters to and meets the unique needs and sensitivities of special individuals along with others in need of TLC. I believe that providing a service where everyone’s unique needs can be met and understood makes for a comfortable, positive experience no matter what the situation is.
