Special Olympics Israel

Special Olympics Israel is part of the global Special Olympics movement, dedicated to empowering children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities through the power of sport. We provide year-round training, competitions, and inclusive programs that promote physical fitness, confidence, social connection, and leadership. Across Israel, thousands of athletes participate in a wide range of sports activities supported by coaches, volunteers, families, educators, and community partners. Beyond the playing field, our work helps change perceptions and build a more inclusive society — where people of all abilities are respected, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive. Our programs include early childhood motor development, unified sports that bring athletes with and without disabilities together, competitive training, community initiatives, and educational activities that promote inclusion and belonging. We collaborate with municipalities, schools, sports organizations, healthcare professionals, and volunteers to create meaningful impact at both the individual and community level. At Special Olympics Israel, we believe that inclusion is not just a value — it is a practice. Through sport, we open doors, strengthen communities, and create lasting change.
