Spectak was initially incorporated in 1985 (Spectak Productions Pty. Ltd), founded by Mr. Ric Birch. Located in Sydney, Los Angeles, London, Hongkong, and moved it’s headquarter to Shanghai in 2011, Spectak is providing a global platform tailored for the different need in different country. Previously, Spectak has created and/ or participated the production of 5 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies (1984 Los Angeles, 1992 Barcelona, Sydney, 2006 Torino, and 2008 Beijing); 2 Expo Opening and Closing Ceremonies (1988 Brisbane, Shanghai); 2 Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies (1982 Brisbane, 2010 Delhi); 4 centennial cerebrations or national events (1988 Sydney, 1990 Singapore, Sydney, and 2010 Mexico).
