Like each new vine in our vineyard, the idea of Spier has been carefully nurtured over time. While our farm's roots stretch back to 1692, making it one of South Africa's oldest, it truly flourished and found its distinct character when the Enthoven family took the helm in 1993. Like all good farmers, we started by regenerating the soil and cultivating the harmonious, full-of-life farm that is Spier today. Be it the world-class wine we craft in our cellar or the healthy animals we keep on the farm, no stone is left unturned in our commitment to goodness. Our hotel, tucked amidst 21 heritage Cape Dutch gables and showcasing one of South Africa's largest contemporary art collections, serves as a restorative retreat. Our award-winning wines are sold worldwide, and our farm restaurants and experiences attract visitors from far and wide daily. People are undoubtedly at the heart of what we do. Our Growing For Good initiatives nurture positive social and environmental change.
