SPIN a/s provides a proprietary system - SPIN-buoy, for safe recovery of "wet-stored" sensors, heavy components or cable- and wire-ends, without the need for expensive underwater intervention with ROV or manual diving for retrieval. This is particularly useful for applications whereas a traditional surface buoy, as an obstruction for marine traffic or environmental exposure, is unwanted or the sea current is seasonably strong. The retrieved object is anchored with the unspooled fibre rope. The SPIN-buoy comes in two off-the-shelf sizes – SPIN-500 and SPIN-100, with a depth capacity of 500 and 100-meter water depth respectively. But variations may also be made to order with specific depth requirements and rope specifications.
