Spoa 1849 Foundation
The SPOA 1849 Foundation Mission is to enhance the relationship between the Sacramento Police family and the community they serve, through scholarship, crisis relief, athletics, and its rich history. Originally started as the SPOA Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2006. For many years, the program proudly awarded scholarships in fallen officers names. In 2016, wanting to do more for our SPD family & community, we added the Crisis Relief, Athletics, and Historical programs. A year later, the Sacramento Police Athletic Club joined us, and is now a part of the Athletics program.
