Spokast

Spokast! is a community-focused podcasting house. Its mission is to remove the technical obstacles for creators starting their own podcast. Did you know that the majority of podcasts only have one episode? What stopped them? Maybe they didn't have the proper equipment. Perhaps editing was too difficult to learn. Or they couldn't figure out how to publish their podcast to the major podcasting services. Whatever the reason, Spokast! was started to remove those technical burdens for the podcast creator & help them focus on what truly matters about producing a podcast… Making a podcast that is content rich & enjoyable to listen to. My background is in graphic design, but I quickly found a niche in digital marketing early in my career. Being in a not-so-creative position, I turned to produce podcasts with friends as a creative outlet. My marketing mind dwelled on the idea of being able to create a business around my newfound passion. But I needed to get more serious about learning how to create a professional quality podcast. And that I did. In March of 2020, a podcast I produced won Best Local Podcast. Which helped lead to my first paying client. In the fall of 2020, I left my marketing job to produce podcasts full-time as an independent contractor.
