When Illinois woodsman Frank C. Nieman started climbing trees for a living some forty years ago, his crew wanted forearms as rugged and tough as his. So, to strengthen their grip to handle the tree-lines for climbing, he created what was first known as 'the Winder.' Today Mr. Nieman has redesigned, perfected, expanded upon, and now re-christened his 'Winder.' Each set of SideWinders is meticulously manufactured by hand with you in mind.
