Spot Community Project

SPOT is a movement created for girls by girls focused on providing rights based, developmentally and culturally appropriate Comprehensive Sexuality Education in accordance with UNESCO’s International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education (ITGSE). SPOT programmes aims to provide safe spaces for learning in our efforts to encourage young people to develop a positive attitude towards sexual and reproductive health, as well as skills to further their personal and social development. Our ultimate goal is to educate, inform and inspire young people by 2030. Our services include, but are not limited to, sexuality education talks; sexuality education workshops; comprehensive sexuality education project design (planning and facilitation); implementation (team recruitment and capacity building); and volunteer training. We also provide services to corporates, namely addressing sexual harassment in the workplace education, consultation and tech support to help with policy building and implementation. We provide our programmes mainly in Bahasa Melayu, English and upon request, in Mandarin or in Tamil. All fees paid will go back into supporting the free programmes provided to underserved children including children with disabilities, refugees and undocumented children living in Malaysia.
