Return to a gracious period in Niagara's history, when the leading families of St. Catharines resided in stately homes along Yates Street and the banks of the original Welland Canal. Built in 1905, in the Queen Anne style, Springbank House occupies the site of an earlier city landmark, the Springbank Hotel and Spa, and later, Bishop Ridley College. This prestigious, 110-year-old residence, was renamed Springbank House after one of the famous St. Catharines Spa Hotel. Today, the Grand Magnolia tree, planted over 100 years ago, frames the perennial garden.
