Sprogcenter Vejle

Language Center Vejle is the first step into Danish society for all new residents who come to Vejle Municipality and the surrounding areas. We teach adult foreigners Danish language, culture, and society at our language centers in Vejle, Fredericia, and Give. Everything from pronunciation and parts of speech, to work culture and Christmas traditions. WHAT WE DO: We build bridges to society, education, and the labor market. Our students come from a wide variety of cultural and social backgrounds, and we equip them both linguistically and culturally to manage life in the Danish society - in the labor market, in the dialogue with their daycares and schools, in community life, and in the public debate. In addition to the Official Danish Language Course (Danskuddannelse), we offer free courses under FVU (Preparatory Adult Education)- FVU-start, FVU-Danish, and FVU-mathematics. We also collaborate with local businesses on Danish language courses for international employees taking place at the workplace. We are a part of Education and Learning in Vejle Municipality. This means that we are a part of a broad professional, educational network with a particular focus on pedagogical development. Which benefits both our teachers and our students. WHY WE DO IT: Our mission is to provide students with the best possible Danish language skills to be active citizens. We do not just teach correct grammar or to pass the next test. At Language Center Vejle, our students encounter a focus on authentic language useful in their day to day activities. We strive to prepare our students for their life in Denmark - in Danish.
