SRC is a full service rendering and recycling company servicing the food handling, processing and manufacturing industry. SRC handles unprocessed animal waste, used grease and used cooking oil in an environmentally safe and cost-effectively way turning the raw materials into essential ingredients for common products that we use in our daily lives. SRC employees 120 employees, with 85 workers in Sacramento. SRC owns a collection facility in both Modesto and Reno, as well as a collection and processing plant in Sacramento. Throughout its near 100-year history, SRC has maintained the highest level of integrity and cleanliness in its facilities. The company was honored with the “Sustainable Business of the Year” award by the Business Environment Resource Center it has also received recognition as a sustainable business from both the California State Legislature and Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.
