St. Alipius Parish School, situated in the city of Ballarat, is a Catholic primary school with an enrollment of approximately 240 students. Its origin traces back to 1853 when it began as a tent school on the Ballarat East goldfields. Evolving from these modest beginnings, St. Alipius has become a respected institution within the Ballarat East community, known for fostering the development of children in a nurturing, faith-filled educational environment. As a dedicated learning community, our commitment is to achieve excellence in educational outcomes. We prioritize explicit teaching and learning experiences, creating safe and respectful classrooms that celebrate diversity. Our holistic approach aims to empower students in their learning journey, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own educational progress. Starting in 2024, our school will introduce weekly STEAM sessions, placing explicit emphasis on technology skills.
