Stala Integrated Assemblies
The Stala story began in 2006. A representative for an ICF company asked Andy Keith for help in creating a commercial-grade solution to door and window openings in ICF buildings. Keith specialized in door and window frames for commercial construction at The Atlas Companies. Along with Jonathan Keith and James Essex, Keith proceeded in designing steel frames that ICF block could be stacked around, and which would interlock with the concrete walls. They named these custom-designed steel framing assemblies “Stala”, and they have now placed thousands of them on hundreds of jobsites. The designers hold two US patents for design and utility with the US Patent Office. Stala frames are now a premiere product in commercial ICF construction, preferred by Owners for their contribution to energy efficiency, by Architects for their coordination with multiple trades and superior quality, and by Contractors for the capacity to speed construction time.
