Hook, Ph.D, the Founder of Stand on Strengths, left a high profile academic position to launch the company because she repeatedly witnessed how both senior organizational leaders and new STEM leaders had difficulty with the "people side" of leadership. She is a scientist turned Gallup-certified strengths coach with more than 30 years of experience in oncology research and program management at 4 academic medical centers and the National Cancer Institute. For 12 years, she has leveraged CliftonStrengths in her own leadership positions and career advancement.
