Standard Solar Power

The Global Powerhouse Initiative is a project pioneered by Standard Solar Power Ltd to bring to market a nascent hybrid concentrated solar power (CSP) and biogas energy platform capable of powering the 4th industrial age and digitisation infrastructure needed to transform Africa into a global powerhouse. The scope of the project includes the creation of component parts to complex systems of a CSP and biogas electric generation system to tap into Africa’s incredible solar thermal and bio-methane potential. The aim of the project is to Enhance the accessibility, affordability and availability of electric power, bio-methane and high grade organic fertiliser required to boost export revenues and help Africa achieve its ambitious sustainable development goals (SDGs) targets. The proposed industrial hybrid system has the potential to significantly boost techno-economic performance, and reduce CAPEX and lead time by about 50% in comparison to conventional energy generation systems, whilst enhancing the accessibility, affordability and availability of energy. We strongly believe our proposed solution has the potential to significantly cut down CO2 emissions and serve as a vital technological development for Africa’s Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI).
