Starling is a cultural insight partnership. Adam Chmielowski and Annie Auerbach launched Starling in July 2016 and have worked together for 15 years. We built our company on two principles: INTERESTINGNESS Too much insight ends up being safe, boring and familiar because research keeps asking the consumer the same questions, but ignores the culture, society and times in which they live. We create braver, future-facing, more interesting insights. We always take a position and bring a point of view for the brands we work with. We give our clients the clarity and confidence to find their brand’s place in the world. EMPATHY Just as important is how we work with our clients. Every project is a series of conversations. We listen, ask questions and empathise with fears and ambitions. We understand the brief behind the brief. We don’t delegate, clients get both of us from the start of a project to the finish. We share ideas generously as we go, rather than in one big reveal at the end. We work together with clients, from the first inkling of an idea all the way through to a fully-formed insight.
