Start-Up Fast Track

Start-up Fast Track was launched on September 1st, 2017, and resides in the same ofice space as One Stop Future Shops business center at Vårväderstorget 1 in Biskopsgården, Gothenburg. The project offers a fast track programme for newcommers in Sweden where start-up business is the main focus. It is specially designed with a different theme for every programme. It gives Swedes whom have a foreign decend and have previously run their companies in other countries a broader knowledge of the conditions for entrepreneurship in Sweden. During six weeks, participants will be educated in; idea generation, method selection at idea development, project start for business ideas and practical start-up information. The course ends with a finale where all participants will be able to present their ideas for a panel and also receive constructive feedback. The course started after we looked at how we could better utilize the perspective of foreigners and support entrepreneurship in the Gothenburg region. Our mission is to guide participants in how to start their own start-up businesses in Sweden and the long-term goal of Start-up Fast Track is to help the Gothenburg region to be seen as an entrepreneurial area, to help create sustainable businesses for everyone and for more people to beable to be self-sufficient. This project is a collaboration between SDF Västra Hisingen, Arbetsförmedlingen Etablering, Business Region Göteborg, Gothenburg Research Institute and Drivhuset. The project is partly financed by Tillväxtverket.
