STARTR Homes, designs and builds premium-affordable modular homes for residential developers. 2 years ago my business partner Damon Johnstun and I set out to create a company to offer turnkey solutions for residential housing using offsite modular/ build construction. From the outset we’ve been driven by a sense of urgency to help house people with a scalable solution. Damon and I are driven by 3 foundational truths: The West coast housing crisis is decades in the making and driven by a housing shortage that may never be overcome. Modular/ Offsite construction offers the best long-term solution for home development and affordable housing in the United States. And it’s far and away the cleanest, least impactful, and most sustainable way to build. Millions of hardworking people live in cities that they can’t afford to live in. This shocking truth needs everyone’s attention. Our homes come in all shapes and sizes, from single family residence to 30 unit apartment complexes. All built in Portland, OR. We’ve spent a considerable amount of time designing our portfolio and can usually get the ball rolling day 1. And if we don’t have it we can design it. Our turnaround for design is usually 2-3 weeks depending on scope of project. We build in 4’s. To keep our costs consistently affordable and to make good on our pledge on housing as many people as we can we have a minimum build order on most our units. Everyone needs a STARTR Home.
