Startup Greece

Startup Greece is a private non-profit organization on a mission to promote, connect, and advance entrepreneurship for Greeks in Tech. Its vision is to bring the Greek Startup Ecosystem under the spotlight and maximize its contribution to a global level, by fostering innovation that will eventually secure sustainability and prosperity across the globe. SG acts to create strong and diverse inclusive communities by democratizing the sources of knowledge and by making all the necessary means available to every social group for the sustainable development of the startup ecosystem. The organization has organized and supported various physical and online conferences, talks, educational programs, and contests relevant to entrepreneurship / social economy / creative economy. Experience-wise, Startup Greece has been advocating inclusive development. This is one of the reasons that some of its partners are the European Representative office in Greece, Technical Chambers, the Organisation for the Development in Crete, the Crete Region, and many more NGOs, as well as Greek and international authorities. Through these partnerships the organization has formed an international, multicultural team and expanded its horizons and views. In 2022, SG received the national prize of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards, for its initiative, Startup Universe, in the category Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit. Startup Greece is committed to nurturing talent and supporting startups at every stage of their journey, from the idea phase to securing initial funding. Its goal is to create a robust ecosystem that empowers entrepreneurs to thrive and innovate.
