In 1959, William Heavrin started his business working out of the basement of his row home in Baltimore City. He specialized in sheet metal including roofing, gutters and spouting. The company expanded over the years, and in 1972 he built the building we are presently occupying. In 1973, brothers Dan and Dave started working full time. In 1979, Statewide Contracting Services, Inc. was founded. At SCSI we perform all aspects of commercial and retail HVAC work including in-house sheet metal fabrication and installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, refrigerant piping, insulation, and automatic temperature control. SCSI is proud to provide our customers with the highest quality standards available throughout all facets of our operations. From HVAC installation to emergency repairs, across projects ranging from small retail storefronts up to city and state government buildings and large industrial warehouses and factories. SCSI has completed projects in all values up to and above $1 million. Our primary business has been retail, commercial and government renovation for the past 15 years. SCSI’s annual sales have been in the 4 to 6- million-dollar range. Our focus is to continue our growth and to retain the professional workforce moving forward. We are a member of ACCA Central Maryland Chapter and ABC Baltimore Chapter. We also participate in ABC’s Apprenticeship Program. SCSI is a licensed Master HVAC Contractor # 2258 and MHIC# 20742 in Maryland. We contract in Maryland, South-Central Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Delaware.
