Staycation Collection is the membership platform that gives access to handpicked places to stay across Germany, which you’ll struggle to find online. From river-side treehouses and vineyard B & Bs to designer cabins and utterly unique hotels, each space is unique and full of heart. The membership includes access to over 150 lovingly described properties across Germany, regional tips from owners, and the option to request tailored recommendations. The platform was founded in 2020 by travel expert Emily Hoffschmidt-McDonnell, who moved to Berlin from the UK. She runs the platform single-handedly, and selects each featured property to ensure they are hidden gems that you are excited to share with friends. Staycation Collection believes in giving back. None of the independent properties has paid to be featured, and members book directly with owners. This means owners are 30% better off than if their properties are booked via the big platforms. Additionally, Staycation Collection believes in overtourism. Germany, especially beyond the large cities, is a hugely underrated destination. Many properties are embedded in local communities and many are reachable by public transportation.
