BILL HOLUB’s 35 years in the generation and utilization of steam includes surveying, sizing, troubleshooting and overseeing high- and low-pressure steam systems for companies such as BP Whiting Refinery, B Braun Medical, Abbott Labs, Flint Hills Resources, Stepan Company, IOI Loders Croklaan, INEOS, Solvay, Koppers, Inc, Praxair, Inc, Suncor Energy, TransAlta, Co, ADM, Cargill Corp, Tyson Foods, Land O’Lakes, Inc, Ardent Mills, Advocate Health Care and JBS/Pilgrim’s Pride. STEAM SYSTEM PROBLEM SOLVING Bill was selected by BP to survey their population in Whiting, IN. Project was completed ahead of schedule. Flint Hills Resources in Joliet had their population tested, model numbers verified, and all traps plotted on internal drawings. Project was completed ahead of schedule. Stepan Co. implement a steam reliability program for their population at their Millsdale facility. The steam reliability program included testing and tagging all steam traps with scannable QR Coded tags. JBS/Pilgrim’s Pride selected Bill as one of seven vendors to join their engineering and procurement group on a 3-Year ‘Drive Cost Savings’ campaign. The team planned projects to reduce energy and water usage and improve process flow. Directed trap installations and compiled energy savings for refineries in the tar/oil sands of Alberta Canada. Bill has expert knowledge in the operation, testing, evaluation and sizing of all types of steam traps. His recommendations have led to significant reductions in fuel, chemical and makeup water; solving such problems as inconsistent heat, high back pressure, waterlogged steam lines, water hammer and air locking.
