Stefano Poletti Bijoux

After graduating from Marangoni Fashion School in Milan, Stefano Poletti moved to Paris in 1983, where he continued his studies at Studio Berçot and took an internship with the great couturier Azzedine Alaïa, working as assistant for Elisabeth de Senneville then. He started licensing deals for accessories and then went on to personally design the jewelry for the fashion shows of the most influent names in Fashion as Thierry Mugler, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Lacroix. In the 80’s, fascinated by the research of new materials he designed a collection for the Jewelry Maison Poiray and went on working for the prêt à porter (Montana, Jill Sander, Guy Laroche, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Chloé and Jacques Fath). In 1988, Stefano created for his own line "Botanicus” made of evanescent spheres of blown glass filled with water and a sprig of ivy. The collection was much appreciated by the press and became a “key-product”, giving him an international recognition: his jewelry was exhibited at the Copperhewitt Museum, at Centre Georges Pompidou, at Musée Galliera, at MAC's in Belgium and at the Grand Trianon in Versailles. Thanks to his personal and unconventional style he conceived an original shop window for Louis Vuitton. In 1997 he began his long collaboration with the company Lampe Berger by creating the lamp "Reine des Neiges" entirely handmade and produced in only 25 copies. Staying in line with uniqueness and exclusivity he created limited edition collections of jewelry for Lalique, Baccarat, Swarovski, Hermès and Jean Paul Gaultier. Poletti lead the artistic direction for the boutiques “France et Caroll “and “HP France Bijoux”, and then designed jewellery for the cinema. In 2016 he collaborated for Atelier Petit H with "Domino", born on the intent of giving a new life at the production waste and creative cut-outs of the French Maison Hermes. He is currenlty working for the Fashion System on new collaborations with Jean Paul Gaultier and Guy Laroche.
