The umbilical cord contains at least 8 quality products (including cells, stem cells, extracellular matrix, plasma, platelets and exosomes) necessary to build virtually any human tissue. Yet, 90% of cords are treated as biological waste and the rest is minimally used for 1 inefficient regenerative medicine product or for a relatively small number of rare conditions like leukemia.
