Stem Discovery Centre

We offer school trips that spark the imagination, electrifying the senses and galvanise young people to consider a career in science, technology, engineering and maths. Our education programme is linked to key stage 2 and 3 curriculum and is designed and delivered by North Hertfordshire College. Admission gives you automatic access to our Exploration and Inspiration Zones. You can also select an assortment of additional shows, workshops and make and take activities, from our ‘pick’n’mix’ style menu. Hands-On We offer a wide range of shows and activities, linked to key stage 2 and 3 curriculum. Our amazing team lead all of our shows and hands-on activities. Our STEM experts have many years’ experience between them and have inspired thousands of budding scientists and engineers. Get Involved Our interactive science shows cover diverse topics including sound, magnetism and event the science of the bodily functions! Our shows keep visitors on the edge of their seats and there are loads of opportunities for audience participation Make And Take / Create and Take We have a wide range of ‘make and take’ and ‘create and take’ activities where visitors will follow instructions to produce their own item to take home. Our take home items include real slime, paper rockets or the opportunity to design, make & race balloon powered cars.
