Step Up To The Plate

Evan Arnold's Step Up To The Plate foundation (established in 2009) provides baseball equipment (new and gently used baseballs, gloves, bats, catcher’s gear, batting helmets, uniforms, field supplies, player backpacks, etc.) to children in need. Since its inception, the foundation has put more than worth of this equipment into the hands of kids in 54 countries, geographic territories, and emirates. Step Up To The Plate also has created events – one-day baseball clinics in Arizona for children who have no parental oversight (one or both of the parents are dead, in prison, or in a drug/alcohol treatment facility). Step Up To The Plate – and its sister organization, Peace Is The Goal – has directly impacted the lives of more than children. Recipient bodies (relief groups, schools, churches, military personnel, and government agencies protecting these kids) have shared that foundation donations have: • Started and/or sustained sports organizations in parts of many countries; • Been used to deter children from getting involved in drugs, gang activity, and crime; • Created and/or expanded healthy lifestyle programs for youth.
