Based at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, STEP-Chem provides services and research studies to support the transition to sustainable chemicals production by 2050. STEP-Chem focuses on both technological, economic and legislative challenges, such that proposed solutions are effective, feasable and well-supported. Our team of excellent researchers offers a holistic approach and combines- the expertise of the Chemical Engineering Department (VUB CHIS) in #separation and #purification of gas and liquid streams and #electrification and #intensification of production processes- with the know-how of the Centre of Econimics, Environment and Energy (VUB C3E) on roadmapping the #economic #viability and #policy context of industrial activities and renewable sectors, material and energy streams.
