Stephen Harrison Academy

The Stephen Harrison Snooker Academy a social enterprise based in Sheffield is celebrating its 10th year anniversary. The academy runs professional snooker tuition for people with learning and physical disabilities and also stages national snooker events. The enterprise was set up by Stephen with the aim to carry on his fathers legacy of making the game more accessible for people who have varying disabilities. Stephen's dad Ray Harrison won the Paraplegic World Snooker Championship in 1985 picking up the much coveted gold medal. Stephen say's my aim is to grow the sport of disability snooker around the UK with the hope of one day it will be reinstated as a Paralympic sport again.
